How We Started

We started in October of 2024 after I decided to take action on my passion to help people overcome. My passion for helping those battling mental illness begins with my own experience of healing through Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

My Story - My battle with OCD began at the beginning of 2022 and was by far the hardest, most debilitating trial of my life. I remember how hard it was at the beginning of my journey. I was barely able to function, constantly ruminating in my head, tormented by debilitating fear and intrusive thoughts that were a constant for months of my life. It felt like everyone else was living their life while I was constantly stuck in my head every hour of every day. I felt an immense amount of shame and guilt for the struggles I had. I thought there was something extremely wrong with me, that I needed to be fixed, and that I would never live a normal life again.

By the grace of God, he revealed to me what OCD is and how it was affecting me. I then began to heal through lots of learning, therapy, and God mending my heart from the deeper wounds I carried. He showed me the deep shame I held about myself, the rejection mindset I had, and how deeply unloved I felt for a lot of my life. For the past few years, God has done a redemptive work in my heart and mind that I am forever grateful for. He broke through layers of shame and fear I lived in for months and mended my heart to be where I am today. He restored my identity to walk powerfully as a son of God and be confident in who Christ says I am. He helped me sit with very uncomfortable thoughts, resist compulsive behaviors, expose myself to fears, and trust Him to walk me through them. He taught me how to fight for myself through His strength and restored me to soundness of mind. Even though OCD is still a part of my life and probably always will be, I can say confidently that I am not a slave to the bondage fear had on my life and I can live in the fullness of joy and satisfaction Jesus brings.

I started Mended Hearts Ministries because debilitating mental illness is very isolating. Mental illness is invisible most of the time and is often seen as something to be ashamed of. I hope to help anyone battling similar struggles and encourage you to take the next step toward a mended heart. God wants us to live free from fear and heal the areas of our hearts that have been neglected. We just have to be willing to say “Yes” and let him do the rest.

Are you ready to take that next step?

My Coaching Experience

I am not a licensed therapist or counselor.

I have a deep passion for heart healing and helping you overcome your specific struggle. All of my wisdom and experience come from my personal story of transformation. God used many resources to help me heal, including therapy, podcasts, and most importantly, my relationship with Him. Although I specialize in OCD recovery, I have a heart for all areas of mental illness and believe that experiencing God's love is key to healing from any battle. Right now, I am pursuing a Mental Health Coaching Certificate from the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) to help further my knowledge of all mental illnesses.

Our goal for coaching is the same no matter what struggle you have: Love you exactly where you are, equip you with tools to overcome, and empower you to walk confidently as a child of God.

Ministry Vision

Our heart is to be a bridge to the local Church and counseling agencies for anyone battling mental illness. We desire to connect people in their communities to our services.

Our long-term vision is to have a variety of coaches specializing in different mental illnesses. We believe that God uses our hardest trials to grow us so we can help others experiencing the same battle. We are praying for God to raise the funds and people needed to accomplish this vision!
